Is Gluten Intolerance Caused by Non-Organic Food?

A recent study has shown that Roundup®– a glyphosate based chemical herbicide used widely in commercial agriculture in the United States may be linked to gluten intolerance.

Among other factors, the study found that fish that were exposed to glyphosate develop digestive problems that are similar to celiac disease.

Considering that many non-organic food producers use chemical herbicides that tend to soak into the food, it’s possible that the exposure to the chemical residue from these foods has caused an increase in gluten intolerance.
